Hofer Osteosynthesis is the locking-plate portfolio of Hofer Medical Solutions, an Austrian orthopaedic-trauma manufacturer headquartered in Fürstenfeld. The system supplies anatomically pre-contoured titanium locking plates and matching instrumentation for fracture fixation and reconstruction across the full upper and lower extremity.
The patented StickFIT technology combines a low-profile anatomical contour with polyaxial screw locking. StickFIT lets the surgeon angulate each locking screw within a defined cone to capture optimal bone purchase while keeping the plate flush against the cortex, which matters most in periarticular fractures and in metaphyseal bone where standard fixed-angle locking forces compromised trajectories.
Anatomical coverage spans clavicle, proximal humerus, elbow, distal radius and ulna, foot, fibula and distal tibia, plus hand and long-bone plating - eight or more pre-contoured plate families addressing the working list of trauma indications seen in Cypriot operating theatres.

Indications & Contraindications
Indicated For
- Long-bone fractures of the upper and lower extremity requiring locking-plate osteosynthesis
- Periarticular and articular fractures suitable for plate fixation (clavicle, proximal humerus, elbow, distal radius and ulna, foot, fibula, distal tibia)
- Osteotomy fixation
- Revision of failed primary fixation with adequate bone stock
Contraindicated For
- Active local or systemic infection
- Inadequate bone stock for stable screw purchase, including severe osteoporosis
- Skeletal immaturity in segment-specific applications
- Patient unable to comply with the post-operative protocol
